What you'll do
- Prepping cable, building splice cases, troubleshooting continuity issues
- Using fusion splice equipment single and mass fusion
- Ability interact with customers in a professional and knowledgeable manner
- Ability to read and understand splicing documentation
- Full understanding of how to operate and read OTDR trace files
- Troubleshoot and repair impairments or damages in fiber
- Strong understanding of OSP/ISP fiber construction
- Familiar with Fiber Cables ranging from 12-432ct
- Must be able to work nights and weekends on occasion. When possible, advance scheduling notice will be provided for these off- hour shifts
- Bring service to the end customer, and satisfy the work order requirements. It is rewarding work, but requires strong worth ethic and a can-do attitude for success
- Ability to be professional in appearance, when interacting with others, and when communicating at all times
- Responsible for tracking daily work tasks and reporting production to your supervisor
Qualifications
- MUST HAVE a valid driver license
- Preferred minimum 1 year of experience
- Comfortable with heights and confined spaces (Some possible bucket truck work)
- Self-starter but also able to work closely with other team members
- Ability to read, understand, and follow engineering drawings and schematics
- Meticulous attention to detail, standards, and documentation
Compensation: $28.00 - $38.00 per hour
